Ever evolving trophies
This new work is currently under construction and an evolution from previous trophy mount work. Using key species to showcase other insects, flora and fauna that are part of their ecosystem. Currently creating techniques for each elemental creature. Slow craft but an urgent topic
Saints and Sinners
A much more personal journey of where to put my feelings of loss at the levels of extinction we are facing in the natural world. This collection aims to include the natural world in spaces where we honour life and loss.
So Long and Thanks for all the Palm Oil.
Dias De Los Muertos celebrates death and life, where mourning is exchanged for celebration and families create ofrendas to honour their departed family members. These offerings, prayers and food are to encourage these departed souls to join in the celebrations.
Orangutans are part of our Great Ape Family and under threat of extinction, with estimates to be extinct in the wild in the coming decades.
Acts of Service
Mr Pigeon - Your Personal Valet
First in series of practical objects, repurposing both nature and furniture to still be useful to us.
We had great use of Pigeons for centuries, they were our meat and messengers. We even gave them medals for Acts of Service during World War 1 and 2. Here they are given a new role as a versatile valet in the hope we see their usefulness again.
N.B. All species are actually contributing to our ecosystem so technically very useful for us.
REVO
This is when I officially started a tote bag revolution and as it was only the beginning I named it REVO. Also, the revolution will never be finished so it was important to be realistic from the outset.
Originally screen prints and now developed in house as vinyl heat pressed Tees and Totes.
(Evolving stock as the mood takes me, can be produced on request..Pearse? )
